Your visit and your choices
You can read and use the atlas without an account. Optional Google Analytics starts only if you allow it.
Serving the site and measuring traffic
Cloudflare hosts this website and processes connection information, including IP addresses and request information, to deliver and protect it.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is not configured in this build. Cloudflare's hosting and security processing still applies.
See Cloudflare's privacy policy and Web Analytics documentation.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics is not configured in this build. The following describes the optional integration when enabled.
If you allow Google Analytics, Google receives page visits and interactions such as occupation and county selections, result-count categories for searches, download clicks, successful citation copies, and print requests. It can also measure session engagement and device/browser information. We use these reports to improve navigation and identify which resources readers use.
Google Analytics can set first-party cookies beginning with _ga to distinguish visits and sessions. This site's cookie lifetime is configured to 90 days and may refresh with continued use. We do not configure advertising personalization or send names, email addresses, raw occupation-search text, URL query strings, or fragments in our custom analytics payloads. Referrals sent by the site are reduced to their origin, without private paths or query strings. We do not enable session replay.
Google processes the data under its privacy policy. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. We use analytics for this publication, not to sell personal information or target advertising.
Change your choice
When Google Analytics is enabled, use “Analytics settings” at the bottom of any page to allow or decline it. Declining prevents the Google tag from loading. Withdrawing an earlier choice disables future site analytics events and removes this site's Google Analytics cookies; it does not erase data already received by Google.
Your choice is stored locally in this browser for up to 180 days. If browser storage is unavailable, the choice lasts only for the current page. Clearing site storage makes the site ask again. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track take precedence over an earlier opt-in. Disabling JavaScript also prevents this site's analytics scripts from running.
To ask about access to or deletion of information you have provided, contact the address below. Aggregate reports and browser analytics identifiers may not be identifiable from your name or email address; we will explain what we can locate and act on. For Google's own processing, use its linked privacy resources.
Searches and messages
Occupation lookup runs in your browser. The words you type are not sent to our server or included in custom analytics events.
If you email us, your email provider and ours process the message. We receive your address and whatever you choose to include, and use it to answer the question, investigate a correction, or maintain the relevant correspondence. There is no contact form or mailing-list signup on this site. Avoid sending confidential employment information.
