It exists because the question "where does AI change work first?" is usually answered with national numbers, and Colorado's answer varies by county. The aim is a reference document: every number traceable to a public source, every known weakness stated, the full dataset downloadable under an open license, and the method documented in enough detail to check or reproduce.

How this was built

The data pipeline and this site were built by Claude Code, an AI coding agent, operating under Christopher's direction and review. The methodology was independently verified — a separately written program recomputed three counties' scores from the method description alone and matched the published figures — and the methodology page went through an adversarial referee review before publication; both checks are described in the validation section. This page applies the same disclosure standard as the credits page of Christopher's book site: state plainly what the tools did.
